Omar Shegem is a creative and results-driven leader with over 38 years of experience in the construction and manufacturing sectors across the Middle East, Arabian Gulf, and Africa. With a background encompassing technical and management roles in these industries, he has successfully built industrial firms in various countries, driven by his passion for discovering new markets and opportunities for growth and investment.
Currently, Omar is the Chief Executive Officer of Gulf Extrusions LLC, where he provides strategic direction and oversees the company’s overall operations. He also holds the esteemed position of Chairman of the Board for several other companies, including Modern Building Material Company, Thabat Real Estate and Land Development Company, and Dar Technical Expertise. He is achieving several boards and sets at some of them.
Omar’s previous experience includes serving as the chief executive officer for both the parent company, Petra Aluminium Company, and all of its subsidiaries. This valuable experience has equipped him with a deep understanding of managing complex corporate structures and driving organizational excellence.
Recognizing the importance of social duties and humanitarian aid, Omar prioritizes these concerns to chair the board of Save the Children in Jordan and Al Ahli Sports Club.
With a degree from the College of Engineering in Industrial Technology at Ohio University, Omar demonstrates his strong dedication to professional growth. Through his involvement in various notable organizations, he has accumulated extensive experience in industrial engineering, management, real estate, and contracting, enhancing his expertise in multiple fields.
